With 3 beautiful showrooms in Barnet, Harpenden and St Albans, we’re Hertfordshire’s largest independent flooring retailer. Since 1968 we’ve been at the forefront of flooring, always stocking the highest quality, latest designs and newest technology for our customers. From engineered wood floors with elegant resilience to luxury vinyl that’s comfortable, quiet and authentic, we aim to stock the best flooring options from across the world in our showrooms for you to touch, feel and experience.

We’re also the only Premier Amtico partners in the county, and our St Albans showroom is home to Amitco’s unique visualiser experience, allowing customers to visualise how Amitco flooring might look in their homes.

Colin Hawes

My passion for flooring started at a young age. My father would take me carpet fitting with him at the weekends. I would clear up the offcuts, hoover the carpets and pack his tools neatly away. By the age of 15, I was fitting my first carpets and soon after leaving school I joined my father’s business and became a fully qualified Amtico installer.

My father was always keen on good training, so we created our own in-house apprenticeship scheme. Many of the estimators and fitters you will meet today have been with the company for over 20 and 30 years. We even have 2 at over 40 years.

Keith Hawes my father passed away in 2014 but he left behind what we feel is the most qualified and experienced team of people in the flooring industry.
